Written as a play on words of the Dayenu prayer we recite at Seder, this was meant as a tribute to my parents.

It Would Have Been Enough

1) Had you only given me life and never provided a home for me, it would have been enough.

2) Had you only provided a home for me and never fed me when I was hungry, it would have been enough.

3)Had you only fed me when I was hungry and never put clothes on me to keep me warm, it would have been enough.

4) Had you only put clothes on me to keep me warm and never held me when I skinned my knees, it would have been enough.

5) Had you only held me when I skinned my knees and never taught me right from wrong, it would have been enough.

6) Had you only taught me right from wrong and never guided me through life, it would have been enough.

7) Had you only guided me through life and never picked me up when I was down, it would have been enough.

8) Had you only picked me up when I was down and never told me you loved me, it would have been enough.

9) Had you only told me you loved me and never did any of those other things, it would have been enough—For my Mother and Father
